Karma Baby! :ho: (http://foxnews.com/world/2018/07/05/gang-rhino-poachers-mauled-to-death-by-pride-lions-after-breaking-into-game-reserve.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+foxnews%2Fworld+(Internal+-+World+Latest+-+Text))

At least three suspected rhino poachers have been killed by a pride of lions after they broke into a game reserve in South Africa.

“There is so little left that they don’t know exactly how many people were killed, we suspect three because we found three sets of shoes and three sets of gloves.”

He added: “They came heavily armed with hunting rifles and axes which we have recovered and enough food to last them for several days so we suspect they were after all of our rhinos here. But the lions are our watchers and guardians and they picked the wrong pride and became a meal.”

Was hoping the article was going to say that the poachers were found anally impaled on rhinos horn. But lunch for lions is good.

Doubt if lions care about any criminal justice system. Food is food. As to the rest of us, I guess they may have just gotten lost, didn’t see the signs stating it was an animal preserve and snuck in just to rest a bit before moving on. The guns were probably just for self-protection and the axes were to cut down trees not for horns and tusks. Sometimes guilt is self-evident and sometimes karma is judge and jury.

I believe that a poaching law broken protecting an endangered species is wrong. I believe that any celebration in the death of a human killed by a lion is wrong.

I am saddened by both events.

Sorry, Gracie, but I really don’t consider poachers of elephants, rhinos and other endangered species as particularly human. Trophy hunters are also pretty low on my list. Ditto trappers of exotic animals done illegally and with no regard for anything but their profit. I have a higher regard for scum pond than these “people”.

On Saturday evening there is a program showing called DoDo Heroes. Each program has been on a different rescue of abused animals. One was on saving the Koalas from extinction due to overbuilding on their lands. Another was on a Lioness being separated from her offspring and sent to a zoo. Another was on monkeys in Peru being used for amusement in restaurants. This week's was about an Elephant preserve in Thailand.

If you find the program make sure you have a big box of kleenex because when you hear what people have done to these animals you will not be able to keep it together.

Injustice abounds in this world. To humans and to animals and we cannot correct every wrong.

Anyone who eats a hamburger is a person who was born a carnivore.

It is all HOW we look at things and what upsets us most. We can become enraged about a lot of things, and cannot correct all of them.
