Give me 20 century washing machine! I really dislike these new water savers even on max not enough water to cover cloths. IMO they cost more and don't wash as good as good old maytag or kenmore?

I imagine that something is wrong with your new machine. Contact the mfgr and explain the problem to them.

I'm not a fan neither. Have heard so many say the same thing...clothes just don't seem to get as clean.

Of course you don't like them. Now if they were top spin motion instead of front spin maybe you would.

Funny.

My mom taught me that for clothes to get clean, they cannot be packed in, and they must “swish.” We looked at the high efficiency, low water washers a year or two ago, and I just couldn’t get past my mother’s training. Ended up buying a Whirlpool with the center agitator, and I am very satisfied with it. I also think (IMO) that the more dials/buttons on a machine, the more that can go wrong with it.

So far so good!

That is why I got a Speed Queen.

We bought a Speed Queen several years ago when we lived up north for the reason posted. When we moved here, we bought Speed Queen washer and dryer because we really liked ours up north. We did not bring ours south with us because the dryer was natural gas and we do not have that here in Osceola Hills. So we left the washer also for the new owner there. Unless the Speed Queen washers have been changed, they are commercial quality and did not have to meet the water saver requirements. Other places may sell them, but Setzer's in Ocala was where we bought ours.

I have option of deep water, so water covers whatever I wash

Mine works. I do have lots of different cycles to pick from.

My wife dislikes the new style washer that we purchased. However most of the time we live in the north where we have a septic system, seems to me since getting one of these HE washers we have no worries with the septic system.

I can use the bulk cycle on mine so the water covers the clothes.
