We have Progressive and just had them write a new policy for the golf cart. Multiple policies got us a discount on the cost.

I have foremost with the villages but just be aware that is your golf cart governor has been set faster than the legal speed of 20 miles per hour and you get into an accident your insurance may be null and void as it is considered speeding in an unregistered vehicle. It is a violation. They may not tell you that up front but when they investigate it becomes an issue. Happened to a friend who lives in another golf cart community and it was a mess. Almost cost him everything he had. He lost control on a curve and hit another golf cart which threw the other person out with minor injuries and when they investigated they checked his governor and charged him with speeding in an unregistered vehicle and his insurance would not cover the accident. He never told me what it cost him but he did say that he had many sleepless nights...thank goodness the other person was not seriously injured. Just an FYI.

What state, city, retirement community did this occur?

A retirement community in the Port Charlotte area. They told my friend that the adjuster came to their home to check their gold cart for damages and checked the governor and later told them that they would not cover the accident as they tampered with their cart. They had to pay the other drivers medical expenses and had to pay them the worth of their golf cart and have their fixed. I found that very interesting as they could have lost everything they had if it would have been worse. I called my girlfriend to ask her what insurance company they had but she didn't know.

I just got my renewal from Foremost via Villages Insurance. It went up from 150ish to $177. They now cover rentals...which is not an issue for me.

2017 Yamaha with full coverage.

$177 seems like a lot. Can anyone share what they pay for a 17or18 Yamaha gas with full coverage. What agency?

Thanks.

Being married to an insurance expert............there is so much more to insurance than the rate.

Please, Please read and compare policies.

So many people don't find out the gaps until there is a claim.

I don't have Farmers' Insurance, but there is a reason they are spending millions of advertising dollars with a message, "we covered that" and "we've seen a lot".
