Have golf carts improved that much since then as far as ride, comfort and range are concerned? We are seasonal residents and do not play golf, if that helps. It’s running ok and we do have it serviced. Thoughts welcomed.

Thoughts welcomed. The Villages has grown a great deal since 2005 and I prefer gas over electric so I am can go anywhere (even at night) and know I will return... I am sure electric carts have improved since 2005...

The new Yamaha Powertech AC carts have much better ride/handling than your old 2005 Club Car ox cart :)

They get about 60 miles per charge at 85F....6x8V battery configuration.

Although there is better batteries they are just starting to hit the golf car market. Is A/C drive that much better? Yes and no. Remember, the majority of golf cars are on golf courses. They really don't care about ride and the suspensions have really remained the same. On a golf course distance really isn't a big deal.
