Domestic Abuse. We read about it here in The Villages, sadly.

We see their pictures on the online news and wonder how a mature person could do that, and their spouse allow it. At our mature age, it still happens. I have a friend who volunteers at a center that shelters victims of abuse.

NOT excusing anyone for this behavior BUT "hurt people, hurt people!"! Many times they've come out of abuse themselves....

Wish though that the one whose being abused would find the help they need!! It's just plain sad all the way around.

My 2 cents, I believe some of it if not most of it is fueled by alcohol and/or drug abuse. I don't have facts but I've worked enough around alcohol troubled people but when they put the joy juice down there lives lose the troubles they got into. I've heard some say I was never in much trouble but when I was in trouble I had been drinking.
