has anyone taken an UBER between the Villages and MCO Orlando Airport? If so, what was the approximate cost to do so?
I've used the Villages shuttle service a few times but when traveling with a group of 4, an UBER would probably be much more cost effective.
Thank you in advance.

When my daughter came down last year, she was on the Villages transportation shuttle and it broke down on the way here about 2 miles from the airport. Hot as heck and no AC running. She summoned an Uber on the spot and shared it with 1 other person from the shuttle and the cost ended up being very reasonable split 2 ways, but I don't remember the exact amount. When she came down again last month, I just went and picked her up at MCO.

I priced an Uber ride to MCO last year and it was $160.00 each way.

I have used Uber from Newark Liberty to Mahwah, NJ, a drive of 45 miles and 50 minutes duration for a cost of $50 to $55 one way. The prices shown above are outrageous. The cost to Orlando International from The Villages should be in the $85 to $90 range.

People use their own cars as Taxi's basically. They give a % to the company. All done electronically. There is a rating system for both drivers and passengers.

There was a 5 page thread on here in March about living in TV versus Stone Creek west of Ocala. Part of the discussion was about the cost of Uber from Orlando Airport to TV vs Stone Creek. Just six months ago in March an Uber from MCO to TV was priced at $66 - $85 and you could go all the way to Stone Creek six miles west of Ocala for $85 to $112. That was the UberX. Using the same website that was used in March, Uber now shows MCO to TV as $139.53

I feel like it's going to price itself out but what do I know.

So then, if one of the village drunks pukes in my back seat, is UBER responsible for the clean up? If said drunk gets too obnoxious, can I kick him out?

Uber and a second company called Lyft are nationwide and may even be worldwide. They are very successful and in many areas have run taxis out of business. You solicit an Uber car with your smart phone ap and your credit card info is on file. I've read of many cases and disputes where Uber drivers have put additional fees on passengers accounts for clean up, damage and other misc events. So you're not off the hook for anything you may have done.
