Noticed a hot air balloon flying over the town this past week. Does anyone know if they're offering balloon rides in this area?

Thanks,

I believe this was a promotional presentation by one of the vendors at the Travel Expo. I have not heard of any commercial hot air baloon rides.

I have never seen any balloons with "civilian" riders though in this area of Florida.

I belong to the Tampa Bay Soaring Society, can't help you with the hot air balloon but we do guest rides in gliders for $100 ($85 if there is a group of 5 or more). We fly out of Zephyr Hills Municipal Airport on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Clear sunny warm days are generally good for soaring and we take up for a minimum of 30 minutes, sometimes longer.

Then there's Skydive City our neighbors, if you have the urge to jump out of a perfectly good airplane at 13,500 feet - of course they'll tell you there is no such thing as a perfectly good airplane.

In yesterday's (Saturday) Daily Sun classifieds there was an ad under "165 Services Offered" for Hot Air Balloon rides over Sumter and Lake Counties. The phone number given was 352-522-1161. I'm not recommending it or anything, just passing on the info.

Advenure2010 - why this user name?

Are you offering some sort of adventure service? Or just looking for some?
