Unfortunately, you will probably get as many doctor recommendations as responders to this request. My suggestion is to find the orthopedic doctors that perform this operation in the area and do your research on them. Look at their reviews on line. Joint replacement surgery although it is a major operation, has become pretty much standard practice. The procedures are pretty much the same be it knee replacement, hip replacement, or other. Find a doctor with reviews you like and go for it.

Also ask your PCP for advice. I used Dr. Eithier at the Villages Specialty Care group and am satisfied, but as Ooper stated, you will get a lot of recommendations since most of us are satisfied with our surgeon. We have had several in our neighborhood that have had knees and hips replaced and most had different surgeons. I have yet to have someone say they made a mistake and had a lousy surgeon.....we never make those mistakes :)

Dr. Lochner, Ocala. Several neighbors have used him and have quick recoveries.

DR Rogers in Ocala did mine. went home in 2 days with no restrictions believe it or not ! Did the surgery from the front rather than the side FANTASTIC!!!!
