Please no politics, just answer if you will vote and non-political answer if you won't.

I did. We did. I would do it again, but I think it is illegal.

Jebartle. We may not vote the same way, but I like you so much.

My husband says voting gives us the right to complain. I always vote by mail-in ballot. Just go to the elections website for your county and request it.

Most don’t vote in the primary but it the most important vote. The primary decides who the candidates will be. Many ask for term limits but voting in your primary is how we control term limits. If you don’t vote in the primary, don’t complain about term limits

Yes, it’s not a right or a privilege, it is a responsibility we all have. If you don’t want to take responsibility for yourself don’t complain when someone else does.

YES! Voting is a privilege given to us by The Constitution and sealed by the sacrifice of all who served. It is not to be taken lightly nor to be done uninformed.

Absolutely yes. I vote in every election as I take the privilege very seriously. As others have said, if you don't vote, then don't complain.

Yes, we always vote in every primary and election. When I lived in Seminole County, the average primary only had about 20% voting. I always felt that it meant that ours counted for more. :)

I think The Villages community is somewhat of an anomaly. On the whole people here are hard-working, honest, forthright, and patriotic to name just a few characteristics.

No one got here by being stupid.

I don't know where to look up the statistics but I'm betting we have one of the highest voter turnouts anywhere.

Yes I voted but I had to dig for information about the candidates. I often use the League of Women Voters site but some of the candidates did not respond to their request for info. The state of Florida website was helpful with bios.

I used google....for some I could not vote for too( since in Florida you can only vote for the party you are registered,) just to see more about them. If you want to be um surprised just use your browser. One came up with a tale of his boat and some surprising pictures.

Nope - I am NPA, No Party Affiliation. And typically vote in the General Elections as a true Independent.

I know...I would have no input as to Primary/final election entrants. So be it.

And being an NPA on the voting database, I don't receive emails/mails/comms from any Party. good.

My father (way back when...) used to vote Republican straight down any ticket. My Mom tended to vote split - I recall when my dad found out my mom voted for JFK in the '60 election... he was not pleased...

I enjoy the process of getting up early, going to my polling place, and voting on election day. It makes me feel part of the process. The only day I've missed was when I first move to The Villages and had to use an absentee ballot from my previous residence. It just didn't feel like voting to me. For that reason I avoid early voting or absentee ballots. But I'm happy to hear that many of you enjoy voting.

In the next general election, I have decided to let my five voting age grands tell me how to vote. It is their future, not mine.

Something to think about. If I remember Mr. Scallion you have retired from the military as an officer and a gentleman. You assuredly are quick, witty and clever on this forum and if I recall you are also in your seventies. Your grandchildren are probably in their twenties and assuredly have grown up in a lovely family with good things and people guiding them, so I am sure that they are well educated and smart as tacks. But what they lack in my view, is the years of living and observing that you have. Our two grandchildren will cancel out each other's vote, but they are both well versed on the issues.

Many years ago, when I worked for the Coors Distributorship in Amarillo, our boss gave us time off to vote and insisted that we do so. His words were, "I don't care how you vote, I don't want to know how you voted or for which candidate(s), just exercise your right to vote and give it your best. They are slowly taking away many of our freedoms, so do your part to see that voting is not one of them."

Yes, a lot of patriots died to guarantee that we can vote--If ,IMHO if you don't declare as a Democrat or a Republican in Fl, you might have to vote for a candidate in Nov=that you will have to hold your nose when you vote

every vote counts--remember the hanging "chads"

I'd be satisfied with an end to political ads. In UK, there is a limit!

Looks like we have a majority in voting YES, that's a good start, now if we could all FACT CHECK, we would be on the right course!!!!

I'm up in the air about voting in this primary. I don't see a lot of difference in the candidates in my party. I'll be happy as long as the candidates from my party win in the general. I will definitely vote in the general.

There is no obligation to vote for everyone on the ballot. If you need to hold your nose then pass them by because those that are forced to vote their party in the primary may have had no good candidate to vote for and picked the lesser of two evils. Don't vote because you feel must pick someone, pick someone you want to represent you.
