My husband and I have a 15 year old Beagle and my sister and BIL have a 10 year old Yellow Lab. We are looking for a boarding facility for both of our pets. The Villages Boarding facility in east side of La Plaza Grande has "runs" for the larger dogs but they are not the indoor/outdoor runs that we are used to.

Anyone have any recommendations for boarding facilities??? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Bedtime Tails Luxury Pet Hotel, who advertises on talkof the villages, has recently opened and is a high end boarding facility. Highly recommend you contact Cathy, the owner, for a tour of the facility.

I saw the ad you mentioned...not really looking for "luxury" accommodations. Looking for the standard boarding facility that has indoor/outdoor runs for the larger dogs.

at Bedtime Tails Luxury Pet Hotel.
If you don't mind wire cage/kennel you will find less expensive accomodations.
We just left our Dalmatian there last week when we were cruising. We choose the facility after seeing the ad here...then going for a tour....and meeting Cathy and her sister.

We personally think she has the best to offer in the area (from several other very nice places) that met our needs.

Our dog was happy and clean for the experience. Our priorities were, no cage facility, no "bull pen" with all the other dogs all day, clean, personal attention of the owners, the owners live on the property and EXPERIENCED in dog care.

The Villages is fortunate in that there are several very nice places to choose from.

Cathy and her sister offer it all. She gets number one status from us.

We are Very happy with ABCD Boarding. They have indoor/outdoor runs. Email abcdpetresort@yahoo.com
Tele 352-245-9410 They have heat and A/c in all the buildings. We've been on cruises, to Europe etc and have always been pleased with we return.

I looked on the website for the address and I see Ocala. Is this the closest location for this facility???

It really isn't Ocala, but is about a half hour from where we live near 466A. Often we are heading north and it is on our way. Other times, we drop them off a day early and do have a little drive. Address is BElleview Florida. By the way, there are many extras you can ad. We do not. We just get the basics. Cost is up to 50 lbs $15/day, 51-100 lbs $18/day, over 100 lb $22/day. $1.5 off extra dog in same enclosure.

We have used The Village Pet Villas. Each suite is private and has a tv or radio and is theme decorated.

We boarded Pebbles at Bedtimes Tails this week end. On Sunday we picked her up and she didn't want to leave her "room", she wanted to stay at Bedtimes.

We will definitely use Bedtime Tails again.

:thumbup:A relative recommended Eden Pet Center in Umatila. We checked the facility out in person and it was very impressive; clean, roomy, etc. The owners live on the boarding site so there is always someone present and their rates are very good. They handle ALL types of pets and you can have 2 of your pets in the same run. It's worth checking them out!
