Wife used Joy's Blinds. She is very satisfied.

I bought the really wide cream lined ones on ebay. (For a song...brand new too.)The ones that fit the BIG Gardenia window. I bought material and made the ones in the kitchen and bedrooms, and the valance in the great room.
The ones that I purchased on ebay were JCPenneys. (But I took out the pleats and hung them on a traverse rod. Lined they screen the sun beautifully. Penneys make nice drapes. I have bought some at Walmart, they recently carried a great silk looking plaid and I lined them and changed the header. The material was great and cheaper than yard goods.

I made them all. They are really easy to do, and that way I can cover dining room chairs, make pillows and coordinate everything. Got a few left to do, but getting almost done.

Our former neighbor is making that sort of stuff in her home after consulting with you on just what you want. Call Jeannine P. 430-0101.

Thank you for all your replies - and handy to know a name if I need them made. We went to JC Penny's and Ikea - good selections. We did not have curtains in Ohio - cause home was surrounded by a park. Thanks again

I guess than the answer would be at Joannes Fabrics or Hancocks....Drapes are so simple to make, it is almost like hanging a piece of fabric. :mornincoffee:

ARE YOU SERIOUS????
I have seen some, however, that look exactly like that...they hung a piece of fabric...and not well at that!! Very sad waste of perfectly good fabric :cryin2:

Alright. I sew. But I don't do tailored things. I CAN do things like zippers and buttonholes etc. but I avoid it. I do sew drapes and curtains and really, the hard part is the measuring, because sewing curtains and drapes is just sewing straight lines...doubled if you line them. They are rectangles. I am not kidding. I think window treatments are the easiest things to sew, and boy do you get more bang for your bucks. I don't think mine look like a piece of fabric hanging there, but they might.
I like them.
And as previously stated, you can make pillows to tie it all together. Looks very decorate-y.
