The round-about directional sign has been missing from the Pinellas-Gilchrist gate since the last hurricane blew through here.
With newbies and snowbirds returning, I think the missing sign is a safety issue.
Who is responsible? If it's the county, can anybody provide a contact name? I tried emailing the Sumter assistant director via email, but links do not function.

Thanks. Been there, done that. Their email link doesn't function. I avoid phoning because my hearing is limited.

Unfortunately all the roads (and signs) belong to the county so they are responsible for them. You can also notify District Property Management and they can contact the county on the issues.

Alwann, at the Gilchrist mail station is a container with forms to contact CIC Comunity Improvement Council, or you can go to the website: Villages CIC – The Villages(R) Community Improvement Council (https://www.villagescic.org/) click on the contact us button and fill out the form. They have a direct contact with the county.

Last evening I sent an email that included a link to this post using the email link referenced above.
I received a response this morning
"Good Morning,
Thank you for the information regarding the missing round-about directional sign. The county is the responsible party and I have created a service request number (Request Id: 15692) in our tracking system (see below) and submitted the request to Wes McClain, Supervisor of the signal/sign crews."
The "(see below)" in their response was screen shot of the tracking system
OP you can now track status.
