If you want a taste of the past, try the Good Times Bar on 25 near Belleview.

Cigarette smoke, lots of bad language, lots of TV's and pool tables.

But the absolute best cheesburgers in the area. I got my fix yesterday.

I thought that serving food and smoking was only allowed in an outdoor setting.

Got me at 'best cheeseburgers.' That kind of place is usually where you find em'. I don't drink anymore. I was never any good at it, but it's fun to watch and cigarette smoke used to be how we all breathed. One night of it wouldn't do us in.

Too many good bars and restaurants without disgusting smoke. If that's what you are looking for try The County Line, Route 25, before you get to Rt42. Great bar food, drinks, pool and it is clean. NO SMOKING WITH NEW OWNERS. GREAT!

I would love to know how they get away with serving food when there is smoking. They probably lie about the % of food served vs drinks. Obviously the health dept does not check up on these places. I do like to go to them, but can't stand the smoke.

If they operate like other states I have lived in, they are reactive not proactive in enforcing the smoking law, somebody has to complain. There are a lot of little places off the beaten path around here where it is common. There are many places which really are no smoking and that is where I spend my money.

NO, YUK, something said to incite laughter. You need to get a new Funk and Wagnalls.

Lots of people still smoke, they leave signs all over the roadsides. I am not a smoker, but I still go there about once a month.

One of my neighbors told me that Alphies also has a great burger. I will be trying them soon. Not many old fashioned made from fresh meat hamburgers left.

Google Maps is reporting Alfie's as being "Permanently Closed." If this is not true, someone should straighten Google out.

Stand-alone bars devoted to selling alcoholic beverages, not located within or sharing common areas with any other indoor workplace, and deriving no more than 10 percent of gross income from the sale of food are allowed to allow smoking.
