Just up on YouTube (https://goo.gl/PgrhdM) are two new golf course videos in my continuing effort to do flyovers of all 666 holes available.
Due to the tilting of the earth it is now almost impossible for me to get two golf courses together on the same morning while one is closed for maintenance and the other doesn't have any golfers on it. As a courtesy to the golfers I have to limit myself to doing flyovers on any given day to the courses that are closed for scheduled maintenance, hence Belmont and Okeechobee together this morning.

The flyover of Pinus palustris and Pinus Taeda courses will be of especial interest today.

Enjoy

5. Belmont and Okeechobee (https://youtu.be/vnM0A3hG51w)
6. Longleaf and Loblolly (https://youtu.be/SzASZ-1WHs8)

Here are the links to the previous course flyovers
1. Mangrove - Sweetgum - Palmetto (https://youtu.be/325MMhAGmg4)
2. Turtle Mound and Sandhill (https://youtu.be/-PZrApo3ERE)
3. Truman and Roosevelt (https://youtu.be/4JCHGT6z3GA)
4. Yankee Clipper and Southern Star (https://youtu.be/ZZSy-zJ3rm4)

Update -
Ok, originally on this post I used the genus and species instead of the more common name for the Longleaf and Loblolly pines that the two new courses were named for. Now that something official has come out in the Daily Sun, I've changed it to the common names. Enjoy.

Superb! Simply beautiful and informative and relaxing...better than actually being on the course at ground level.

BTW - have you ever hit a birdie while driving these courses???
What I mean is, has your drone ever encountered live winged creatures while flying? Just between us - we won't tell PETA.

We walked both of these courses and were definitely not impressed. Loblolly is mostly OK but the long walk along the MMP after #6 would not be enjoyable with all of the golf carts zipping by.

Longleaf is very boring. Except for the par-4 #3, every hole looks the same. There is either a gullly on the right or a gully on the left, with very little landing area for a short-hitting unskilled golfer. On a lot of holes, the houses are much too close, and the homeowners will have golf balls being hit into their lanais.

Other than that...……...Betcha they will be busy all the time. Lovely view for a lot of homes and many a nice walk spoiled for the walkers and a sweet diversion for the folks in carts. The bushes and shrubs and trees will grow fast as all things in Florida do, and change the look of these courses in 18 months. And the price to play???? Good indeed. For free take, for buy complain.

Not had any problems with the birds while flying but then again I try to stay as far away from them as possible. In several of my videos you can see birds below the aircraft in flight which is always a cool shot to see.

I have hit a birdie and a bogie on hole one of Mangrove about 3 years ago. The bird way able to fly away, my score however never really improved.
