No, not really, however what is considered "good manners"changes with the passing of time. If it didn't, women would still be wearing hats in public, and slacks on women, let alone shorts, would still be taboo.

Someone posted a link about the guy somewhere else doing yard work NUDE. Nude to me = no clothes on ANY part of the body. Why is it bad for a guy to remove his shirt on these hot days to do his yard work? Not sure all the sun exposure is not harmful, but who else is harmed by his choice? "Don't look, Ethel!".

Years ago, my husband was out mowing our yard sans shirt. The little 3-yr old granddaughter of our next door neighbor came over, looked up at him, and asked, "Why are you naked?" He thought it was not only hilarious, but cute. I IMMEDIATELY went next door to talk with my neighbor. That was about the time people were beginning to be accused of inappropriate behavior with children over every little thing, true or not. I sure didn't want him to be accused of anything like that! My neighbor laughed and said that it was hilarious. She did go on to explain that anyone who was not fully dressed, including shoes, was "naked" to her granddaughter.

I don’t care what people wear. However, for comfort, if you are shirtless because you are trying to stay cool in the heat might I suggest the Reef Legend spf shirts. I was surprised to find the long sleeve shirts are much cooler for playing tennis than sleeveless tanks and 50spf sunscreen. And the shirts don’t wear off, like the sunscreen does. It makes me feel like I’m playing in the shade.
