if you have a phone number could you pass it along.
Thanx in advance for responses to come. I have a Club Car Precedent that I bought new 1/25/2005 and still running on the original batteries. Based on everything I have read on this forum I am on borrowed time. I don't know if one day they just stop, but am getting concerned time will catch up with me when I least want it to happen.

They will not just die, you will notice. You will begin to lose range. Ken can usually be on site with new Trojans withing a couple of days. I called today, so have the number handy: 352-804-0722

My batteries were 2007 and they just bit the bullet this week. Renters called that cart had no range and very slow. Ken is coming out today to trouble shoot and I'm guessing I'll have new batteries. :agree:

I would appreciate any help anybody could give us in getting the word to Ken Spano that this is a good place to advertise. Thousands of people will see his ads.
Thanks

Agree Ken is the best. He replaced the batteries in my Club Car with new Trojons and serviced my gas Yamaha and was the best price for both. I agree with TH, he should advertise on here.

I too had "Ken" deliver batteries for my wife's cart and he beat everybody's price hands down. Also was quick, courteous, and sprayed all the terminals with battery cleaner, conditioner.
I was very happy with my decision to use him :beer3:

:agree: Also had my batteries replaced today by Ken Spano's service. Great prompt service by a friendly young man who was very informative as to proper maintenance of the batteries. Previously had checked Golf Cart Connection where I purchased the cart in 2003. They were asking 175.00 more than Ken Spano for Interstate (12 mos. warranty) vs. the Trojan batteries (18 mos. warranty) from Ken Spano. Also found out that they do regular service (every 6 mos.) for a more reasonable rate than GCC. I'm sold and will now schedule all my maintenance with Ken Spano. :beer3:

pouring rain. We are having him come back to do the other service when it is more conducive to better weather (sometime soon I hope).
I have (unfortunately) the 4 X 12 volt set up, so have to make the best of it with the best batteries I can get. The ones replaced were 5 years old last month. I probably could have gone through several more months but did not want the borrowed time I was on to be foreclosed when least desirable.
I did call the Club Car dealer to see what they wanted for the same batteries...almost $400 more plus they would have the car for a week or more.
Thanks to all who made recommendations on this thread.

IMO, 5 years is really good, you must have done good job with maintenance:thumbup:. For us (maybe just me ;)) curious folks, do you mind sharing your usage? Stuff like, how many days a week you use the cart, how many miles per use or per day?

hole rounds per week. We go for the mail daily. Runs to and from the banks, stores etc for one or another at least once per day.
I would guess night use would be less than 20% of the total time on the batteries.
Use only distilled water and keep the batteries constantly topped off.
Plug it to the charger after every use no matter how short a time. If the cart is home it is on the charger.
Keep the tires at maximum allowed.....checking every couple of weeks.
We are gone any where from one to three months during the summer....cart is left on the charger.
Never had one spec of corrosion on any of the terminals. Battery box and batteries look like the day I bought the cart.
Keep it clean and shiny.
