It's official, Taco Bell is coming to the Trailwinds shopping area.
Attached is the first page of the plans that went on file today.

More fast food! Guess it's better than nothing.

It's also interesting to note an unofficial aspect of the site plan. The Wendy's logo appears to the left (west) of the Taco Bell.

I have not been to a Taco Bell since 1997. And probably will not go to one until 2047. Yo no quiero Taco Bell.

Will customers need to hablas en espanol? Taco Bell: Spanish-speaking employee refused to take English-speaking customer's order - The Washington Post (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/food/wp/2018/09/14/video-shows-taco-bell-employee-refusing-to-take-english-speaking-customers-order/?utm_term=.b2279f0dfb3c)

I like Fiesta Grande at Colony, especially the steak fajitas at lunch for $9.25, but for a quick lunch, Taco Bell soft tacos really hit the spot. What's amazing is they've raised their prices and their business has doubled.

When we first went to Taco Bell about 7 years ago and up until about a year ago, soft tacos were a dollar apiece and a senior drink was free and usually there would only be a couple of tables occupied. So for $5 we had a nice quick lunch. For the past year or so, the same meal is now about $9.50 The tacos are now $1.29 and the drinks are $1.50 apiece and yet, when we went just last week for lunch, almost every table was occupied and about 10 people in line to order and the drive-thru was just as busy.

As far as not eating somewhere, I have not eaten or been inside a Wendys since 2011 when we moved here. What happens is anytime I'm over that way and want something fast, Jersey Mike's gets in the way.

I like Taco Bell. I don't find the food in some of the "high class" Mexican restaurants to be any better than Taco Bell.

I been to them all in the authentic Mexican restaurants area, all bland, as for Taco Bell I hope it better than toxic bell in southern trace or " froget about it"

Haven’t eaten at TB in years. The kid across the street managed ours, when he said the contents of the taco product, listed meat byproduct, half way down the list. Really took the fun out of eating a taco salad with what I thought had beef in it.

I also cannot remember the last time I ate at Taco Bell. There is a chain mostly in the Midwest and a few Western, Eastern and Southern states called Taco John's -- much better than Taco Bell. Still fast food, but much better than Taco Hell.

I had Jersey Mike's for dinner tonight -- stopped on the way there just before choir rehearsal. I usually get the #9 Club Supreme on rosemary parmesan bread. I now have enough points to get a free sub the next time I stop there. :)

El Pollo Loco is good. Even Mexicans eat there.

Please stay on topic of new Taco Bell at Tradewinds. There are a number of off topic, personal posts. If this continues, the thread will be closed.

Taco Bell at Southern Trace is an insult to Mexican food. Heard that Tijuana Flats was thinking of opening here but doubt it now with another Taco Bell.

On another note the Taco Shack in the Old Mill Playhouse is going to have an expanded menu and a full bar according to the Daily Sun.
