I have always wanted to name one Willie Bite.
We had one named Shaggy Dog.
I judge people based on what their pets names are and what they call their spouse. I do. Not ashamed at all.

I have run into two dogs named Jesse James. One of these belonged to a woman I have known for a very long time. She also has Cole and Younger. She has a thing for the Old West and its outlaws.

I am probably forgetting about three hundred or more dog names I have heard here in the streets of the Villages around the Postal Center and in the dog parks in or near the Villages.
I have met many dog owners while here in the Villages.
Beau Derelict is still my favorite name so far. I have seen the movie 10 quite a few times.

I forgot Rocky, Millie, Rose, Eva, Leo, Sarah, Corey, Smidgeon, Sassy, Kaia, Ripkin, and Semper Fi. Semper Fi was a very tricky basset hound who would steal its owner's breakfast by barking at something in one room while she was eating. This made her go into another room and the smart dog would go around her and get the breakfast off the counter or table.
Lots of funny stories about Semper Fi.

Me, too. Sarah, Stella, Kimberly, Savannah, Rachel, Debbie, Debra, Jon, Bob, Chuck, David, etc. could be people or dogs.
There is a Rachel who is a Welsh Terrier and a Rachel who is a very attractive woman.
Know a Finn, Banjo, Titan, Fergus, Shiloh too but these could be dogs and/or males or female humans. Burt could be a woman I suppose but is also a dog.

That is a nice name. I recall Gerry, Frankie, Hudson, many Murphys, Finnegan, Brutus, and a few bogies. Bogey either for Humphrey Bogart or the golf score. Maybe some below Par as well came up at some point. Toby, Tony, and Moby too. And a few Elsies.

Cannot remember if it was a dog or its owner that had the name Thelma but do recall a dog named Boo Radley.

I know two cats named Francesca and Farrah. I only saw them when I yelled out "Dinner Time" or when they were hissing at two dogs that were chasing them all over the house.
And I watched a diabetic cat for long periods of time which needed shots of insulin. Her owner named her Mephistopheles but usually just called this 22 pound Maine Coon cat Butt-Head.

Lilith - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilith)
Had a late friend who was a retired supervisor of some sort with the General Services Administration of the US government in DC. He named his pooch Lilith and made sure the rest of us knew what he meant by this name. He would give us a lot of the background for the name. The man did have a strange sense of humor but was fun to talk to. You never know what kinds of people you will run into at the dog parks in and around the Villages.
He did talk a lot about the Lilith from the Ted Danson show Cheers as well. Lilith Sternin - Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilith_Sternin)

He must have been quite confused. LOL
Just recalled Schatzi, Smokey, Bonkers, and Yoda. Not to mention the Jazzy who had a mohawk. Jazzy was shaved except for a mohawk. He used it as a way to create conversations with the ladies.

No arguments in our home naming pets.
All dogs were called 'Dog.'
All cats were called 'Puss.'
Even today when I pass the time of day with dog walkers when out walking, I still say "Hello Dog" to their pets. Sad!

I think I have forgotten the names of most of the dogs I have met at the Lake Paradise Dog Park as I only go there a few times a month.
Andy is one of the dogs I met who goes to multiple dog parks. Tony another.

Just remembered Heidi, Pru, Chico, and Rita.
I saw Heidi push a level water bottle with a bowl at its end into a hole with her head so that the water flowed into the bowl. Smart German Shepherd.
Chico and Rita team up in their big yard to come at prey from different sides like some kind of 21st century velociraptors. They have caught and killed a number of squirrels, mice, kittens :(, and other critters.

If I get the Green Light without asking for it I will move with the speed of Nucky lightning and you can name me dog Bubkis or you just call him or her Bean's. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:
We watch dogs every so often for friends and our friends' friends. We accept no drama dogs if you know what I mean. We had the sweetest little girl named Cinnamon last week and I miss that little pup. A fine animal and a credit to her parents.
We watched two German Shepards for my son several months back and overall they were cool but this isn't the time of life for me to be dealing with two behemoths like Tank & Shiloh!
When the time comes, 100% rescue only, no discussion. They need us.:)

I know a Nick and a Nora rather well but Nick passed recently. Nora seems to be handling it very well. Took care of a Chuck and his mother Heather. These were two Westies. Chuck would get me up at 5:30 AM by pushing his head against my side if I was not up by his regular feeding time. His owner used to be a Lt Commander in the Navy and would get up at 5:30 every morning.
Fergus was another Westie who would come to the dog park and never want to get out of a stone circle around a tree where he would hunt the geckos in the vegetation under the tree. That's all Fergus would do. Get out to pee and poop but that was usually on the way in the beeline he would make to the stone circle.

Came across a Pepper tonight and was looking for some Salt. I have met other dogs named Pepper and do remember a Salt as well in that family.
And a Ralph. And maybe a Kramden.
Beau loves a pooch named Charlie. Another male dog. It is kind of a bromance but is also about dominance.
