Wish someone would built another carwash in Trailwinds Village--a real one like the Atlantis carwash, not one of those add ons like Sam's or Circle K's

It's quicker to just do it yourself if you're able, the lines are too long at the good car washes.

The lines wouldn't be so long if there were more good car washes.

There’s one on 27 South of 44 past Lake Harris $6.00 for outside wash. They do the front by hand for bugs etc. prices go up for more items ie tires Zw

I use the Sam's club touchless wash for 6 dollars. It cleans the car just fine. I don't know why I would need anything else.

There’s also one on 44 east down by Rohan in the shopping center. I do mine at home also don’t use it that much

Are there no mobile detailers there? I figure with 2 cars it would be worthwhile.

I agree we need another really good car wash. I haven’t washed my own car since I was 16. Up north we buy Jax car wash Three month unlimited plan.

I approached Tradewinds twice in the last year wanting to build a car wash. They were not interested in having one there !!

I agree we need one and it could be a money maker :MOJE_whot:

News Flash..Most car wash use re-cycled water = Potential damage to your car finish... Buy a hose...really good car wash soap available some include wax = Peace of mind and your automobile with love you even more.

It is not Touchless plus it is re-cycled water

There are thousands of them in The Villages; it’s called a driveway. But it does involve DIY, which the largest percentage of Villagers refuse to do. I can’t recall ever going to a car wash where I paid someone to clean my car.

I discovered a hand wash service in Wildwood . A fellow and his two sons.
They operate out of the self-serve car wash on RT. 301 [ 435 Main Street ] .
They use the bay closest to the building .
Used them this past week and they did a great job including a spray wax for $20 .

Like everything else, If you want it done right, do it yourself. Nobody washes my car but me.:bigbow:

Not as easy of a business as it appears to be. I have first-hand knowledge.

I also have never been to a better Car Wash than Atlantis. If it was a half hour away from my house I would really think that it is worth the ride. You could couple it with

something else you have to do up this way. Most important things when you move, Good Pizza, no comment, Good Chinese food, several around our home that are ok, a

great barber, barbers galore, good car wash, we have two. LIFE IS GREAT!

Sam's Club has two options, touch less and brushes. We choose neither since our manufacture cautions against the harshness of the detergents the car washes use.

Washed the car at the house yesterday. 20 minutes, a bit of exercise, clean car and money saved.

I find car cleaning a waste of time. Leave it and just put it out on drive when heavy rain forecast, and it never looks to bad.
The garage that do my annual service always wash and clean inside and out after, so I never bother from one year to the next.
I always remove the beer cans, fag ends, used rubbers, and Macdonalds stuff before each service, as I don't want the garage to think I am some sort of slob! :icon_wink:

Not sure what you mean. There are two choices, one uses brushes, but the other one only has water touching the car. Isn't that what they call touchless?

I'm pretty sure my truck doesn't care if its bathed in recycled water.

On Sept. 29th. the other site reported Fruitland Park OK'ed a new CAR WASH on 441/27. It was reported in that story " the facility plans to recycle 80 percent of the water used to clean vehicles":ho:
