I really like it. I have seen all the episodes and enjoyed them. Corky has not changed!

I had the worst crush on the actress playing Corky. She sure is cute. Love the show so far. :bigbow::popcorn:

We watch the first episode. When she started preaching to the Sarah Sanders figure in the press conference we tuned out for good.

I loved the original. I watch the new series but I certainly don’t love it. I do get one or two chuckles per episode but that’s about it. There are so many things wrong with this reboot. The laugh track is irritating at best. Too many zingers fall flat. Tyne Daly is ill-used as a curmudgeon. The tech guy is gets my jaw grinding. Jim’s return was heartbreaking, not funny (but his flirting with Phil was cute). Avery needs to move out. He’s too old, too successful to be living with mommy.

So, I keep hoping they’ll find their groove and be great again but it’s not looking promising.

Do people like Candice Bergen ever have enough money to just retire? She has two dead filthy rich ex husbands too. She couldn't spend all her money in ten lifetimes.
Why do they never have enough?

Kind of like Kathy Bates in Misery. Regardless of the politics she is just nasty.

In fairness that reporter was acting like a jerk. Sometimes you mess with the bull, you get the horns.

So the guy who played Eldin the painter died years ago, of a drug O/D. He was a great character. Jay Thomas is also dead sadly. Scott Bakula...is still alive.

Watched Murphy Brown last night and the Ed Shannon character (obvious Steve Bannon reference) was played by David Costabile of Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul fame. His character Gale Boetticher will be in the next season.

Was never a big fan of the original Murphy Brown, but it was good to see Jim again.

Let me get my two cents before this thread closes.

I am dismayed that almost all of the material is politically motivated.

Typical Hollywood bias. IMHOAlmost all is really just a few. Get a TV Guide and check for yourself. You'll feel less dismayed after looking at the T chart.

“Misery” still sends chills down my spine.

Loved, loved her in Dolores Claiborne. “Not all accidents are bad, Dolores.”

Will continue to watch. A clever show, with a cattywampus viewpoint. They should can the laugh track.

hijacking the thread ............... You have hit a nerve with me. When is enough ever enough, and this applies to an awful lot of people in our public lives. If they used their money to do some good I could go along with it, but just making money for the sake of making money leaves me cold. So many people are in dire straits, see the Ocala Forest for example, and few of the really wealth care.

I was a fan of the original. Tried to watch the first reboot episode, but the laugh track was just too obnoxious. What ever happened to "filmed before a live audience"?

Funny you should mention it. I was involved in a benefit sold-out show here in The Villages in 2014 that raised $8,355 for the Children of The Ocala Forest. Over 21 performers/ musicians/ artists from the Villages donated their time and effort.

You are right. Many people who live here are very aware of people in need.
Right now in the regional rec centers there are barrels collecting pajama's for the children in the Ocala Forest. Our Village has made an effort to help the children of the Ocala Forest and local schools many times. I find that there are many kind and generous people who live here in The Villages. I really never think about their net worth at all.

To be fair I don't like any shows with political agendas. Don't watch Last Man Standing either.

I like good mysteries. The British do a good job with series' like Midsomer Murders and Miss Marple and Poirot redux. And Father Brown. Loved Miss Fisher too.
