I went to the Alliant Dermatology office, yesterday, near Colony. The office was closed, there was a crew in there painting/remodeling. So I called the office number, hoping to get at least an answering machine but nothing.
Does anyone know if this office is closed or if they are just remodeling?
Thanks

Did you have an appointment? I mean, were they expecting you and you found it closed?

I went last week. They are painting and remodeling. Some work had already started.

I did not have an appointment. I have been waiting for a reimbursement. I was asked to pay in full for my appt and procedure although I have insurance and my insurance did pay them. I really liked Dr Casper and this office and I am hoping that it is just a mistake and I will be reimbursed.

Thanks.

They have 2 other offices---one at Lake Sumter Landing and one on 466 in Santa Fe Crossing. I suspect they're re-modeling the one at Colony.

5 yrs. ago my husband had something on his upper arm, went to Dr. Bond 3 times (heard he retired should have years ago)- he never did a biopsy on it. Told him it was a pimple. Went to Dr. Casper, he took a biopsy on it. Turned out to be stage 2 cancer. My husband went to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa to have it off. After a 6 inch scar, and a clump of 5 lymph nodes removed he's cancer free in that spot. In fact he has an appointment next Monday at the Colony office. I thank him and our Primary doctor - Dr. Sara Gitte, for seeing there was a problem and taking care of it.

I believe Dr. Casper is the only doctor at Colony so there are times that office is closed when he isn't there. I would still like to know what the issue was with UHC a few months back.

This is a complete guess. About the same time UHC said it was dropping Dr. Casper it announced it had hired a dermatologist for The Villages Specialty Health. I'm guessing UHC wanted to move patients to its in-house specialist. Lots of Dr. Casper's patients (including me) complained to UHC and they let him back into the system.
