Retired NJ State Employees have recently received a packet of information - SEHBP Educators Medicare Plan -
Aetna Medicare Solutions. Nowhere in the information does it say anything about retirees living out of state. If anyone has a good understanding of this program/information and how it impacts Floridians would you please post it here.

Your best bet would be to call pensions directly (609) 292-7524

It also covers retirees living out of state. You previously (for 2018) had Medicare as primary with BC/BS of NJ as supplemental coverage (if you are a retired teacher). It changes for 2019 and becomes Aetna Medicare Advantage (POS) plan. NJ Pensions claims it has the same coverage as your old plan plus some additional perks. You will get a new ID card and will not need to use your Medicare ID card in 2019.
Information is posted on the web site included in your package and you will be getting more detailed paper information on the plan in several weeks. In addition they will have web video seminars to educate you on these changes. Just check with your existing doctors to make sure they are in network with Aetna - this should not be a problem since Aetna and BC/BS are similar giant corporations.
