We listed our house here in Connecticut 2 weeks ago and signed a contract today! Now the fun begins!
Thank you to all who post here, those who have asked questions I never would have thought to ask and those who have answered. What I've learned here should make the next phase of getting to TV easier and more enjoyable.

Good Luck with your sales. We put our house (New Jersey) on the market in April 2009, and entered into a contract in January 2010. If all goes ahead without a hitch the closing is scheduled for April 15, 2010.
Now the stress really gets ramped up with all the details for a move. We are going home to purge, purge, purge, again.:highfive:

:beer3::beer3:Congrats. on your contract. Hope all goes well and you're here soon. When purging rember the 30 second rule. If you can't decide within 30 seconds you don't need it. We went through it last year and it worked very well. Gives you more time to enjoy the ride to the next part of the rest of your life.:pepper2::pepper2:

Thirty second rule!! Good rule, but I may have to extend it to 60 seconds!

Congratulations Margaret.....I am very happy for you. Even though the next phase will be difficult, the end result...TV...makes it all worthwhile.
:welcome:
Good for you! And in only 2 weeks! Now the exciting part begins. If you don't feel the connection when you walk in forget it. Bought on the 2nd day I was here although not my first choice but feel lucky to have what I've got!:clap2:
Took the villa off the market yesterday so looks like TV is stuck with me! Couldn't stand to give up my buds soooo...it was meant for me to stay!:MOJE_whot:

Thanks for all the well wishes. I think buying a new home may be more stressful then selling, but it should be a lot of fun, too!
