I wish we could go on one time, and stay on it year round!
My dog thinks it’s time to get up 1 hour earlier.
She wants to eat lunch 1 hour earlier.
I hate changing all the clocks in the house, in our car, and on our golf carts.
What else?

I so agree

I agree with the caveat that we would go to Daylight time year around. I hate when it gets dark at 5PM or earlier. I have no problem getting up in the dark, and in fact, do it often year round. JMHO

The kids at the bus stop are not standing in the dark, and safer for it

Many end up walking in the dusk — much more dangerous.

It doesn’t help that today is cloudy and dreary.

If TV were nearer to the Equator, it would get dark at 6 pm, then we wouldn't have to go through this.

The Villages is getting nearer to the equator every day.

Just give them time we will be there sooner than expected.:beer3:

This means that Happy Hour begins an hour sooner. Doesn't it?

If it really the problem you say it is why not just keep your clocks and your schedule on standard time? At least your dog will thank you, right? :). :icon_wink:

With all the accidents that happen to kids on their way to school and you want them to go in the dark? Seems pretty selfish to me. I sometimes don"t get retired people, always in a hurry, and can only think about themselves. What happen to my generation.

Hmmmmm, retired people can only thing about themselves. Then you ask about your generation which means, to me, you are only thinking about your generation or do you expect our generation to take care of yours. Step up, vote, get involved and encourage your generation to get involved since the responsibility for your generation is you!

I don’t like the change either.
I get as confused as your dog! :a040:

She still wanted lunch an hour early today. Guess it will take awhile.
I admit I don’t think about school buses, living down here, although I like to think I am not as self absorbed as it has been made to sound. I wish health and safety for all.

The OP said one way year round she didn't say which. I think your generation is the one that likes to generalize everything.

P.S. update on the dog
Still wants to eat an hour early for every meal, although she can now sleep until 7:00 in the morning.
According to my husband.

We experienced the same thing with our dog being confused with the time change. It was an awful problem.
HOWEVER, not enjoying the ritual of going around and changing all the clocks in our home, I trained the dog to do it. He has much less trouble with the digital alarm clocks than I did, and in the process of changing them all, it helps him comprehend and adjust to the time change within a day or two, just like his humans. TIP: when training your dog on the digital equipment, remember to also have him change the back-up batteries in your weather radio.

Always happy to help. I don't know why other dogs aren't more helpful. He does have one problem though, -- I have to unplug the cords from the outlets for him because he tends to drool and that leads to a really shocking experience.

Now, I'm going to have to get us a dog. I'm really tired of my wife whacking me across the nose with a rolled up newspaper twice a year. (Actually it's happens more often, but for different reasons.)

Spare a thought for the poor guys who have to move the rocks at Stonehenge twice a year.
