I dunno but I had key lime pie at the Fenney grill and it was awesome. Even better than the one I bought at Publix which was super good.

I’m not sure why he’s such a hit. The crust is Keebler not even homemade and they’re $20.00.

Every Friday where?

Take 466a east past Publix on the left, past the Shell Gas Station, then...

Go to Traffic Light on Rolling Acres Rd. Go left on Rolling Acres......keep going until you see the Pie Man he will be on the left on Rolling Acres.

PS: Wait until the light turns green, before taking the left.

It's actually 466A to Left at the traffic light on Micro Racetrack Rd., then watch for his signs on the left.

Just curious, but this sounds illegal? I don't think that prepared food that needs to be refrigerated can be sold out of a truck in Florida.

He is properly licensed, and brings his freezer, truck and power source. He insists on packing the pie in ice if you are not going right home. He obviously knows how to run his operation.

Thank you for pointing out the facts. It’s anazing how bad info can get spread around.

They are ok but not key lime pies. Too sweet and not tart enough. I grew up in key west.

The pies in Publix are no where close to these pies.

I don't understand why so many people are out to get this guy. If people didn't like his pies, he wouldn't still be in business. He's got a loyal following.

Thank you for saying this, CFrance. I have been wanting to post the same thing.

I cringe every time somebody starts a key lime pie man thread because I know the snide remarks will follow and then I will have to wrestle with myself not to engage.

(I can count — on fewer than the fingers on one hand — the number of times I have engaged around here. It’s not my style — usually.)

But this topic always goes down the unfair road and that steams me every time — though I have never called it. Watch though, just watch. There will be someone who does not like this post because it hits too close and then they will tattle and it will disappear.

For the record:

-I have met the key lime pie man.

-The key lime pie man is professional and pleasant.

- I like the key lime pie man’s key lime pies.

- I have served one to guests.

- I gave one to someone as a gift.

- Give us a day or two, and Mr. Boomer and I can put away the whole pie —all by ourselves — one “wafer thin piece” at a time.

- If there is only one pie left and you arrive at the same time as I do, I will let you have it — maybe.

- AND I am persnickety as can be about how safely and cleanly food is handled.

(The OP only wanted to know when to find the key lime pie man. That post did not declare open season. Geez.)

So there!

His pies are really good. We have been buying from him as long as I can remember. I believe in shop local, not commercial, if possible.

You will always find some that are not going out of their comfort zone to buy new things, there is always someone that can make it better.

But many wait for the pie guy, and love them, and sad he is sold out.

I remember when you came to this site for help, information, and sometimes for a prayer.

Sadly, there are more who feel the need to attack a new thread or or certain posters.

A sign of the times....do not digest something said by others and attempt to learn.....simply attack because the voice differs from something in your narrow mind.
