I rode home from the Orlando airport yesterday on the Villages Transportation bus and as I went to sit down I noticed that someone had obviously decided to trim their nails on the bus and had left the clippings on the seat...WTH!!!

Did we all forget what we were told as youngsters?
Look for these things and you'll be convinced we did
1. Sneezing/coughing and not covering your mouth
2. Men not washing their hands in the bathroom
3. Mouth wide open while chewing food
4. Respect for women in general
5. Standing still and quiet if the flag is raised/lowered
6. Picking things up off the buffet and putting it back
7. Not using the utensils provided at the buffet line
8. Yes ma'am Yes Sir Please Thank you You're welcome

I guess it could have been worse and I greatly fear we will get into the truly gross and I hate conversations like that.

I recently got grossed out by a "lady" eating dinner at a bar in Key West. After she was done eating she pulled out one of those "U" shaped floss sticks and proceeded to work on her teeth for about 10 minutes. I didn't notice if she left it on her plate or threw it back in her purse to use after her next meal.

That would have killed my appetite.

Ugh! -- However, I think it's a foreign thing. Several years ago we hosted a couple of relatives who came from Norway. I found it interesting that whether at home or in a restaurant, they would pull out that u-shaped flosser and, very naturally and comfortably, go to work. (Mind you, these were, in many respects, cultured not backwoods, uneducated people). Although I learned a lot about my deceased dad's culture, I never had the nerve to question this unappealing practice.
P.S.
One of them actually had a very nice "floss" case. It was leather and made specifically to carry their flossers. I don't know, of course, whether it is traditional in Norway or an aberration limited to these foreign relatives

I would place perfumes right up there with toenail clippings on a table.
What is wrong with people who don’t know when to say when -when applying perfumes? I can smell you a mile away and you linger for hours after you’re gone. It is disgusting. An assault to my senses.

I am not appalled. I have never trimmed my nails in public but I am not offended. Flossing makes me icky but I think of people's hands as clean and their nails too. But THROW them in the trash.
I see it is Thanksgiving week along the golf cart paths and 466. Pop bottles and Styrofoam cups and beer cans. I am very selfish about keeping this place beautiful. The people who run things here are second to none and the visitors who throw their trash down...……….. Bad on you!!!

Seems like some people have lost all of their manners as they have aged or it's their 'right' to do whatever they want to do.

How about sitting at the pool and hearing the clicks as someone trims their toe nails and leaves the clippings for others to walk through ? Yuk !!!!
