I've been a golf walker and carrier for the last 30 years.

Time to expand the bag and start using a cart bag.

As I shop, I'm keeping in mind:
14-15 way divider
Individual full-length dividers
Over sized putter hole.

What have you found to be important??

I don't think I need an insulated pocket.

Not sure about material

Thanks!!

Riding cart or Push cart?
If riding, I'd add the desire for reverse orientation of the top so shorter clubs are nearest to you when standing behind the riding cart.
In my opinion Sun Mountain makes the best cart bags with a variety of bag types that are specifically designed and recommended for expected type of cart use. They aren't cheap but they are high quality and thoughtfully designed. I have a riding cart bag and a push cart bag and love them both. And they both look good after lots of use for past 4 years.

I only use 2 clubs, one to lose the ball on the first swing (driver), and the other (Putter) to use 2 or more swings to lose the ball, I need a bigger bag for all the extra balls...……

Oh I forgot to mention I really do not golf, I bowl a lot.

Do you think an over sized putter hole is a good idea?

As far as a "cart bag," I've had numerous Sun Mountain C-130 series bags for the last 20 years or so...and think they're hard to beat.

I currently use one like this and really like the 'handles' at the top...which helps when moving them around.

Ditto to Sun Mountain bags. Wife and I have used them for years. Very good.

If your Cart has a cooler, an insulated pocket is not necessary but I like one and usually have a small ice pack to keep my water cold. A swallow or two of water along the way (Keeps me hydrated) and helps me get that next par or birdie! :coolsmiley:

I will let you know if I need my bag to be wired.

I shot a birdie once, the game warden gave me a ticket.
