I asked today and I was told, "Hopefully in December." They don't have a date yet.

I don't know the date, but, if they actually have over 2500 members as they claim, you may have a long wait to use the facility, especially if you are not a member.

The facility is designed for large attendance. The manager in the Tampa store said it is not unusual to have a line up to two hours wait time during busy times.

All one has to do is go off peak.

I suspect the membership could easily top the numbers given when the geographical area is taken into account.
The new range will have a big area draw in addition to TV.

The Villages Straight Shooters Club membership went up when Shooters World offered a discount to the Straight Shooters club members who joined Shooters World. We've added about 600 members since August. Now over 3,000 Villagers.

Looking forward to the opening.

They have 4,000 members now and most of that membership are people living in The Villagers. Just wait until Wildwood, Leesburg and the rest of the surrounding area join.

I stopped by the SW Welcome Center in Brownwood...they said the range would be open by the 1st of the year.

Saturday, Dec. 15 Daily Sun, Construction Update:
"Final fire inspection has been scheduled in advance of a tentative Tuesday opening of this 52,177-square-foot, golf cart accessible firearms retail store, shooting range and training center."

Stopped by the Brownwood office yesterday. The gentleman said it would be after the first of the year. Opening held up by HVAC contractors.

A couple of us went there on Thursday. We took our carts and took the old 'dead end' (sign still there) just south of the tennis courts at Eisenhower Rec Center.

The fence that had been at the end of that golf cart path has now been removed and the path leads into the parking lot of Shooter's World.

All of the retail area has product and the cash registers are open. There was a very good deal on 50 round boxes of 9mm. I bought 4 boxes.

We got a tour of the classroom and the 3 or 4 ranges. All of it was very impressive. The 100 yard rifle range can handle up to .50 caliber!

Also impressive was the staff. Everyone that we talked to was interested, well informed, fun, and a great hire.

The number of handguns on display is really something. They will also a very large number of rental handguns. Their theory is to have a rental for you to try before you buy anything.

They are waiting on a exhaust HVAC element for the ranges. They thought that it would be in this coming week.

A really huge and impressive facility.

Sounds like a great facility. Not sure I want to be indoors when someone is firing a .50 cal though. The pressure wave alone would be uncomfortable.. lol
