How many miles/years out of a set of tires?

Anyone have a ballpark idea of the mileage expectation of golf cart tires?

My wife's New Avalon lasted 30,000 miles. Seems like OME tires don't last as long.

My last four SUV's.............80,000 to 95,000 miles.

Also depends on care (alignment, pressure, etc.) and hiway vs. city driving.

Conservative: take 80% of the tire rating.

A lot depends on if you keep the tires properly inflated and the golf cart properly aligned, inflation appears to be the most important one.

No idea, our cart does not have an odometer.

Our golf cart is five years old, we are here full time and use the golf cart regularly. While we don't have an odometer, a wild guess we use about 4 gal of gas in our cart per month.
A guess 40 mpg so 160 miles a month so aprox 2,000 miles a year.

We have the original dealer tires and they are about half worn. We have ten inch tires. I seem to recall reading somewhere that the ten inch tires last far longer on the road as the rubber is harder as well as fewer revolutions per mile.

I have a 2015 Yamaha gas cart. I have about 300 hours on mine and I need new tires pretty soon. I do not have an odometer. If I am averaging 10mph, then I have 3000 miles on mine.

Seems a little early for tires.

They are 10" and the usual brand.

I wonder if the tires are all that similar and if they actually get made of different compounds from one year to the next.

:) Just sold a 2015 with over 20,000 miles and almost 1200 hours. Still had original tires in good (not great) shape. Preventative Maintenance is the trick.

As stated, the tires can last 20k plus miles. Proper air pressure and alignment is the key

It also depends on yore driving habits. IMO once the tires get about half worn or more they loose there grip when payment wet and some start thumping. Then there dry rot in about 5 years.

25 PSI 5000 Miles in two years they look like the day I bought the Cart. I check the pressure every Monday just like the Car. Better safe than sorry!

13,000 on my 4 seat Yamaha. Wearing well. Maintain 32 lbs. all around. I should get 25,000+ miles.

2013 Gas Yamaha w/20K miles. Replaced them at approx. 17k miles after a flat that that when repaired continued to leak (hole was too big for the plug.) They were worn thin in the center. I run 32 to 35 lbs.

I saw that and got a kick out of it. I got 40K out of my last three New Fords. Flex, Escape, Transit Disconnected, what a Bomb. All of them had Hankook Tires. N.G. Changed to Michelin Or Goodyears. Big deal if a post is a little off the mark. Who's perfect? :boxing2:

As noted air pressure is important. If low the inside or outside edge of the tire will wear rather fast. If wear is even and the tire still has some tread I would think you are ok. Maybe on a heavy rain day try some fast stops in a safe area and see how the tires perform.

Assuming you had 10” Loadstar tires, they may have been wearing thin in the center because of over inflation. I run 26-28 lbs in my tires and the wear is pretty even.
