Are there any Snowbirds out there that fly commercial airlines back and forth with a pet dog? Would like to know your experiences and receive some tips and advice. Larry Cox, Calumet Grove. :doggie:

Is your dog small enough to fly in the cabin with you?

Do not put your dog in the belly/luggage compartment of the plane.

I just read the article from Smithsonian. My thoughts, even before reading the article is we would have never considered flying our pets in a cargo hold. We wouldn’t even feel comfortable stuffing them under the seats in a carry on. We are paying a price because anytime we want to make the trip to the Villages at least twice a year we need to make the long drive from the New England.

I know that’s not the answer you were looking for just my 2 cents on pet travel.
