Most of those voters have no idea what Socialism is or care to know.

I am sorry BK but I cannot even stand to look at that race baiter, never mind watching a video of him. In my humble opinion that man is despicable.

Sharpton is a dork. He's a demagogue, an apologist and arrogant beyond belief. He *still* hasn't apologized or admitted he was duped in the whole Tawana Brawley mess.

And he does just what demagogue's do. Attach emotion-triggering but meaningless labels to people, institutions and the actions of others. And demagogues get attention from the public, essentially surprise or shock that anyone would say something so outrageous. You could also say it's the "National Inquirer syndrome".

Unfortunately, in an all out attempt to defeat health care reform, a number of Congressmen resorted to these tactics and only reduced the collective esteem and respect for the legislature to perhaps it's lowest level in history.

You are right but you have your time period wrong. Congressmen resorted to those tactics during the Bush Administration. Or maybe it was a few years before that when the term "Borked" was born. That was the low period in my book.
