Gate Latch

Update. I have now discovered that my gate latch spring is broken
which makes it difficult to ensure the gate closes properly,
anyone else had this problem. DIY? if so, where are latches sold or is this best left to pro, any recommendations most appreciated.

My Villa was built in 2006. When mylaych spring broke, Ace Hardware carried replacements. Good luck.
