Thank You CWGUY. You were instrumental in a guy like me finally having the courage to try streaming. I am now ready to help others. It's all Your fault. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl: I do my best which isn't too bad. I subscribe to Cord Cutters and get interesting updates from them daily. No regrets here. Television is much better, cheaper and more interesting by far.

Thank's a $$ MILLION $$. :)

Ted Wright, from The Connected Villages Club (Connected Villager - Home (https://www.connectedvillager.com)) will be giving the talk. He is excellent and will give everyone good advice.

If you can't make it to the meeting, go to the web page (above), go to "schedule & presentations" Click on 2018 and scroll down to 7/9/2018 to see his presentation.

Thank you for this link.

I will give it to our family techy. I don't mind paying for Television service, but I grow tired of the decreasing selections and advertisement offerings.

This is The Villages, when they say they will start at 6:30 most people show up at least hour early. When the room is full (fire code) the doors are closed. We were there at 5:30 and the room was at least half full. It was a good presentation and convinced me that cutting the cord will not work for us.

The Geek Squad (Best Buy) will do a free consultation in your home and answer any questions you have and make recommendations. If you choose they will, at a cost, set your tv's to the streaming service that you want.

I found the service quite helpful. I decided to go with DirectTVNow. Saving $80/month. They also setup my remotes to control my tv and all other devices. I always have a tough time doing that. They also showed me how to use all the features of DirectTVNow.

I'm enjoying saving $!

It is very possible that one day Cord Cutters will be priced back up to where we were before we cut the cord. It is fantastic as of now.

Anyone thinking about doing it should get a Roku Device and keep the service you have now until you are at peace with how to use the Streaming Device. TV is great for us again. We have everything we want plus all the really old great TV. Herman Munster for Free, it's for me.

Remember, if I can do it. You can handle it too. Some people just don't want to be bothered like two out of our three sons. They pay somewhere around $240 a month to Comcast. The other son is a tightwad and spends either $25 or $30 for Sling. I always liked him best. SHHHHHH!

We use YouTube TV and Philo. $43 YTube $16 Philo plus thousands of free channels plus Amazon Prime Movies and Netflix.

Congratulations! You won't regret it. This month five years ago we did it and haven't suffered at all. We have to have Comcast for internet but, as long as they don't bother us, we don't bother them.
