Fort Myers Beach library stabbing: Man accused of killing director (https://www.news-press.com/story/news/2019/01/20/man-held-fatal-stabbing-fort-myers-beach-library/2631454002/)
I sometimes would worry about all the homeless at the old Clearwater Library. I do know that the homeless are more often the victims of crimes rather than the culprits.

How sad, I recall as a kid the homeless, would gather around the outside benches of our main public library. Since there were no shelters they would use area to urinate, deficate and possibly procreate not at all concerned with the proximity of Police Headquarters.

They would sleep in the Central branch of the Minneapolis Public Library when I did work/study there my second year of law school at the U of MN. I would try hard not to wake them up while doing my duties. Some of those days were very cold. The police were close by as well in downtown Minneapolis.
