Wasn't that a SPECTACULAR liftoff? Just about the most beautiful I've seen. Such beautiful light in the dark sky!

It was a fabulous morning to view the launch. The vapor trail was utterly breathtaking. Went to the top of Havana Trail, almost stopped by Graciegirl's for coffee.
BTW, F16 is a WHIMP!!!! :22yikes:

F16 is a WHIMP? Is that a wuss and a wimp combined??? I never knew that about him. Is he a lie-abed???
YOU are welcome to return to my house for coffee. I just fried eggs and bacon for Sweetie and Jim. The skillet's still hot.Twyla and Helene are still abed!!
Our houseguest Jim is an ex-NASA guy. He hadn't seen a space shot for awhile. This place is awesome.

Wow, this was my first time seeing it and it was awesome. Did the vapor look bright orange at first because of reflection from the not-up-yet sun, or does it always look so? Anyway it was breathtaking.
I only wish I had driven over to Gracie's afterward for coffee, a fried egg and "God Bless America"!

The bright orange is the solid booster rockets and once they separate from the shuttle you see the white glow of the shuttle engines. Daytime gives you a great vapor trail.
