They apparently are having problems, and I just received a confusing message from them that they cannot honor a pre-paid reservation I have for next week. I actually have 4 reservations, and have no idea if they can honor any.
Does anyone have any info ?

OP, did you use a credit card, if so, call the credit card company, and make a complaint to get your money back, and make reservations with another company. If you are going to Orlando airport, you would still have time to use the villages transportation, or the villages taxi.

It seems Pelican Bay express went out of business. No working website or Facebook! Yes definitely dispute the credit card charge.
What is happening with the real Villages Taxi? It seems their cars are being stripped of the lettering so it is like they have went away or switching cars! I know they about a year ago, put a limit on where they will go. They do not want to go outside of Villages to Doctor, etc. I hope they are still around!

Will be a shame if they have gone under - always nice to have options

I too received a call to cancel my upcoming trip to TV. Stated due to vandalism and technical difficulty.
Hope I can find a reliable means to get back...
Any suggestions will be welcomed

I also had a reservation cancelled for 3 weeks from now, so future service looks doubtful. The message left indicated the reason was technology fraud. They said they would call back to get credit card information to issue a credit. So far no calls. Message was left yesterday late afternoon.

Enterprise in May P/U Sumter Landing one way drop off Tampa Airport.
Return Orlando 3 weeks later Enterprise one way drop off Sumter Landing.
100% Reliable and less expensive.
Both ways priced for 24hrs. My wife drops me off for P/U day before, picks me up when I drop it off when we return, real simple.

He rents the auto at Enterprise Rental in Lake Sumter, then drives to Orlando Airport and drops the car there at Enterprise Rental. When he returns, he rents the auto from Enterprise at the airport, drives back to The Villages and returns the car back to Enterprise Rental in Lake Sumter. Easy Peasy!!

2 car rentals. Both from Enterprise. Both 1 day (24 hrs.) One from Lake Sumter Landing to Tampa Airport. The other one 3 weeks later from OIA to The Villages. His wife drove him to LSL to pick up first rental. She also drove to Enterprise to pick him up when he returned the second rental. Hope this helps. :ho:
