Golf question

My wife and I and another couple are coming for a LSP next week. My buddy and I will play two championship courses as part of the package. I am a 16 handicap, and my friend is probably a low to mid 20s. Should we play Palmer, or would it bring us to our knees? What two courses would you recommend? Thanks for your help. Ed

To me Palmer is no more difficult than any of the other courses. The key is to use the tees (blue, white) etc that you feel comfortable with . With your friends handicap , you don't want to play the back tees but would be a better fit playing the white tees.

I agree, you could play any course from the white tees with a 20 handicap and enjoy the game.
The PALMS at Hacienda Hills is comfortable from the blues.

I think some of the hardest holes, IMHO, are at Mallory. Just because a course is the most expensive, doesn't mean it is the hardest. Take the above advice...

If your handicap is a 16 no course here will bring you to you knees. The two courses I would play if I could only play two would be Palmer and Glen View (luckily I get to play them all). Nice facilities with driving ranges....

As far as tees, I have played alot of golf with lots of folks and seldom does the tee have anything to do with handicap. I play with lots of folks that can still hit a ball 240+ yards, but take 4 to get into the hole from 75 yards. Playing more forward tees will probaly not lower their handicap.

IMO, tee selection is more about length of the shot into the green to make the game as enjoyable as it can be. If you hit a solid driver and 5 wood and still have a 30 yard shot into every par 4 it is probably time to move up.

You folks will be fine anywhere here.....

IMO the toughest course in TV is Tierra Del Sol from the tips.... that could bring many to their knees....

Two of the nines at Palmer were his design. The third was designed by Clifton who did all the others. It's the same level as the other courses. Have fun and keep it in the short grass.

If you play Palmer make sure you play the Riley Grove 9..It's the signature course here..beautiful..The other 9 I'd play on Palmer is Laurel Valley.The Hibiscus 9 on Cane garden is great and so is Kenya 9 on Havana..Just come down & enjoy all that is offered here you won't want to leave...Have fun..Good luck!!

Good advice by all and I would only add that Palmer and Lopez are the most expensive courses and if you are on LSP that means they would be free to play.....You can then play the other courses mentioned particularly Glenview and Hacienda and pay the priority rate (lowest) during your life style stay. Have your sales rep make the t-times for you. Enjoy
