Today was a life changing day for us. After three LS visits we are finally heading to TV as permanent residents.
We closed on the sale of our house in Alabama today and signed a contract for the construction of our new home in the Village of St. Charles. The closing is scheduled for June 18th.
We are soooo excited we can hardly stand it! With so many things to do before the move, the time should pass quickly.
Can't wait to get in our new home and enjoy The Villages lifestyle. We have read about the TOTV luncheons at Crispers. Hope to meet many of you at one of the upcoming lunches.
Congratulations....and Welcome!
There is lots to do, but it's happy work and the time will pass very quickly.
We'll leave a light on till you get here.... ;)

We are building on Hollow Branch Way. The lot is on the corner of St. Charles Place and Bailey Trail. There is a completed house on one side of us and another one that is under construction on the other side.
Hopefully, they will start moving some dirt around next week. Our Sales Rep (Mark Lawson) told us that he will email us frequent pictures of the construction so we can see how things are going.

Congrats! We are right down the road from you in Anniston. Just weekenders in TV now as wife still not able to retire. Glad to see another person from AL moving to TV.
By the way, what do you yell? (Only people from AL will get this!)
WAR EAGLE!

Army Guy,
I've been reading your posts. I know are getting anxious for your wife to retire so you can make the permanent move to TV.
I spent 3 1/2 year in the Army, almost two long ago to remember. Actually it was in the early 60's.
Unless I want to get kicked out of the family, I also yell WAR EAGLE!!
Hope to run in to you after we all get settled in TV.
Take care,
Howard

HowardSims, well always good to meet another AU fan. When you are there you will probably see us, as you can not miss our golf cart. It is done all orange & blue complete with a tiger tail.
You have no idea how ready both me & the wife are. Every Sunday when getting ready to leave it gets harder and harder. The only bright spot is that we know we will be back within a week. We are averaging going down about everyother week.
Matter of fact I actually work right up the road from you in Hoover. I am full-time for my last terminal assignment with a USAR unit.

We know that you shouldn't wish your life away. However, in this instance I wish I could snap my fingers and move the calendar up seventy days. After that the days can slow down so we can enjoy every one of them to the fullest.
This is going to be an exciting move. Can't wait to meet all of our new neighbors! By the way, we have two dogs, a chocolate lab and a mixed breed with a missing front leg. We promise to be responsible pet neighbors.
