Golf cart towing

Is there one service better than the other? They both seem to be about the same price which is $59 for a year. Is one more reliable? Have you had good or bad experience with any?

I have **** Aid and have needed them twice in 4 years.....both times responsive and efficient. If you are a AAA member they provide the service for no additional cost....may try them next time if I need a tow.

We have AAA and waited 2 hours for them to come for my cart. Never again We have **** Aid

I always carry a tow strap on my cart. I have towed several people over the years FOR FREE. I have never passed up a broke down cart.

I too carry a tow rope and have towed a couple of people at no charge....We are from the way the villages used to be

A side note for electric carts, take your charger and cables with you. My neighbor in his electric cart was on his way back from Orange Blossom to Tamarind Grove when he ran out of juice. He was on Morse not far from Mallory GC. He didn't have the towing service, so he pushed his cart up to the starter shack and asked the starter if he leave his cart there. The starter said, if you have your cables, you can plug in your cart here, all the starter shacks have a place to charge your cart. So he plugged in is cart and went in the country club to eat. Came back about 90 minutes later and his cart was able to get him home. He has since bought a Yamaha gas cart.

IMHO, that seems about as silly as suggesting to always carry a spare gas can for gas carts, or for all cart owners to carry a spare tire...in case you ever need them. :oops:

Chargers are heavy (especially for their size), not exactly cheap (I suppose you can always use a cable/lock for securement)...and take up quite a bit of room in a normal cart basket.

Not to mention what damage that heavy charger might do to a normal cart basket while it bounces around...or even damage to the charger itself. :shrug:
