The all creatures Sanctuary is in desperate need of them. So much cozier for the dogs in cages and crates to have soft things to lay on. Please PM me if you have any old blankets or small area rugs and Ill be happy to pick them up. Thankyou and our homeless pups thank you too! :doggie:

Nonie...old bath towels, too??? Or, are they too 'thin'???

You are such a good soul for helping these unfortunate creatures.

Nonie is a wonderful and caring friend. One of her important life missions is to work with vulnerable animals. :doggie: I admire her so much.

Monthly, we buy a big bag of dog food and cat food and treats for dogs and cats at Publix and give then to the vet on Rt 42 who gives it to the Marion county shelter. I also give old towels, comforters and blankets to them for the shelters.

It does not cost much and it helps the shelter.

I won't be there Saturday like I originally thought. It'll be Monday instead so I'll try to call you then to meet up with you to give you some rugs and towels.

Nonie, you are such a good soul. I have some blankets and quilts that I can donate. I'll be in touch with you.

When Nicky died (for those of you who don't know, he's the dog in my avatar), I donated quite a few quilts to my vet and printed "In memory of Nicky" and the date on them and asked that the girls just remember him every time they use the quilts. I felt that was the least I could do so that people will remember my wonderful dog.. I will do the same on the blankets I have for you. Nicky would be very happy to know his friends at the shelter will be using them. Kathie
