My son and family in for the week and as is our Florida tradition when they visit, Sunday AM is a buffet brunch. First time for them in T.V.

Wife and I have had the brunch at Katie Bell's and thought it was pretty good: good food, great selection(eggs to order, plenty of cooking help), fantastic service.

For some reason(closer to the house??), we tried Amelia's at the Waterfront Hotel and can kindly say, it's not Katie Bells...Food fair, selection sparse(only pre-srambled eggs and waitresses make the Belgian waffles; slowly), service poor(understaffed and overwhelmed!)

Well, back to Katie Belles next visit!

I have stayed at the Waterfront Inn many times. When looking, when home is rented, and have found it to be a great place to stay. I have eaten there breakfast almost every time there. Have always been able to get eggs cooked to order, waffles, pancakes, and a decent buffet. Service has also been very good. I would classify as not great, but a good hotel breakfast. Better then most of the chains.

I have tried several of the Sunday breakfast buffets and have always found Katie Belle's to be the best. If it wasn't for the others in my group I would not pick another place.

Some may think it a bit pricey at $17 a person, but the Sunday Brunch at Harbor Hills Country Club is excellent. Huge selection of both breakfast and lunch (or, dinner) entrees. Made-to-order omelets, eggs Benedict, roast beef, ham, turkey, salads galore. Champagne and mimosas very reasonable. Nice live piano music, beautiful view. Reservations required (which is unusual around here!)

Try The Orange Blossom Country Club, the food is outstanding. We like Katie Belles also.

Not to dispute your experiences, but for some reason, not today??????

In The Villages, with all the good choices, they get one shot at my patronage.

Have always been able to get:
eggs cooked to order, NO
waffles, SLOOOW made by waitstaff. When you were there did they have a cook behind the counter making orders?
pancakes, NO and
a decent buffet. Decidely NO this morning!

Did I mention, small room too!

Thanks for the other recommendations! Gives me plenty of other choices and I know Katie Belles is good first hand and for other customers, also.
