We have noticed that in some pre-owned homes, there are gas stoves or fireplaces. Can these be added in new construction? Is is propane or natural. If propane, is the tank buried?

When we were there last week we looked at many open (pre owned) homes.
The last day we went to pennecamp and looked at the At Ease model. I asked the sales person (Ron) the same question and they said they can bury a propane tank for a gas hookup. They called it burying the pig.
I would check with the building codes though. We like gas.
Most likely we will buy a preowned home.

In the newer areas you can install propane but it has to be done after the closing. Yes, the tank is buried. If you're interested p.m. me and I can give you the names of installers who work in TV.
We got prices and were all set to go with propane for the stove and dryer, then my wife decided she could probably get used to electric.

Many people have done it, especially for pool heaters and summer kitchens. Suburban Propane in Wildwood supplies propane for many TV homes with buried tanks.
