The access panel is secured what look to be some sort of plastic snap pin. It's a one piece thing.

Is there a special tool to get it out. It sits in a small recess, the walls of which would make it awkward for the typical trim snap pin removal device, it seems to me.

If your talking about the rear access, its a torx and then the panel can be pulled out. Yes it does snap in at the top of the panel.

Pry up the center (about 1/8 inch) with a small screw driver, the pull the plug out. Do a google search

Actually, no. I just did it this morning. It's a hex drive screw. Not a clip.

Thanks though, anyway.

You kinda do that with the older cars, not a QuietTech cart.

we got the access panel off OK, but getting it back on was a PITA....two screws came out easy enough, but the part of the panel that goes towards the seat has two tabs that slide into two slots. Getting the angle of those tabs right, so they would slide in was made difficult by the hardware that supports the seat. Is there a trick to getting those tabs in there without having to dismantle all of that framework?

those tabs are a pain. it seems like you have to line them up (staight and flat) and then give the back of the panel a good thump with your palm to drive them in.

Put the tabs in first and push. Course I can say that I have done a lot of them. Shouldn't have to take anything apart
