I read with interest this information from AOL Health. It says, among other things that 11% of people over 55 have anxiety disorders. It states that some can be from the interactions to the medicines we need to take as we age.
There haven't been many in depth studies on the drop of the naturally occuring brain chemical serotonin as we age. When serotonin drops, anxiety problems can occur.
Many people take Zoloft for that reason.
