I noticed that there is a cemetery next door to the Caroline pool and mailboxes. Does anyone know anything about this cemetery? Are there other cemeteries within the Villages?

I think this is it, but I'm not positive.

It is listed here under the Lake County listings as "Cherry Lake Cemetery, Sumter".

LOL We just visited it yesterday on a Segway tour of the Lake Sumter area. Unfortunately it was very cold and rainy and I was so busy shivering I didn't pay much attention. They gave us the whole history but I forgot other than it is privately owned. Cut through the mailbox/pool parking lot and it's on the right on a cul de sac next to a house. Has a locked gate. Very pretty "resting place" final or otherwise.

Not a lot of plots there and most of the vaults are a foot out of the ground. I wouldn't want to be the home next to it on Halloween!

Out walking last night decided to take short cut through a Cemetery when 3 young girls came towards me and said they were petrified walking through the grave yard and asked if they could walk along side me so I said yes...

As we were walking I said don't worry I understand I used to be petrified walking through here when I was alive.
Never seen anybody run so fast.

If you ever read Leisureville you will find this cemetary mentioned in that book.
