View Full Version : Villages Woodworking Club, is there a METALWORKING Club?

Sounds like a dumb question but I have a piece of 1/16" aluminum that measures 3 1/8" x 8" which I need a 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" hole cut out of it. I have a jig saw but it's in bad shape plus I have no way to hold it steady. I am wondering if there is a shop that does that or there is a commercial place that does it? Back up North I had tools & tables for everything but that downsized along with our move.

Funny you mention that. We moved into a 2/2 with a 1 1/2 car garage. The ONLY misgiving we (actually I) had was the garage. Wanted to add a GC garage but there wasn't enough room due to the 5' setbacks so instead had it bumped out 4 feet to make it a double. It's Not so much the ROOM but having the right tools is the issue and Mr. V. Tinkerer certainly does.

Of course the 2900sq ft garage in the home for sale we saw in Bridgeport Village might have helped but we didn't quite have the $1.2million they are asking. LOL! Garage size more than 2x our home living areas.
