Primary needed

Are there any primary care doctors in Brownwood or nearby other than The Villages Health System as I have Anthem Blue Cross and TV won't accept it? Recommendations would be appreciated. I have been with Premier for going on two years and have had enough of their incompetence and poor attitudes. Thanks for any help.

As you have found out, Villages Health only accepts 1 or 3 UHC ADVANTAGE plans. IMHO, you should be able to contact your carrier for a list of local providers, then call the provider to make sure they accept your plan. We ended up with a very good provider in Leesburg, a 20 to 25 minute drive from Brownwood. You should be able to use the 411 urgent care, just south of 44 and Powell until you get your PC lined up.
