Really enjoyed their Ginger Chicken last night and they seemed busy with some customers also waiting for take-out.
That is the 2nd time I have been there and the first visit was also good. Went there first probably around 2013 or so.
It was a change from our usual Bonefish Grill outing.

Have not had a bad meal there.
My parents and brothers have been there more than me as I was sometimes off housesitting in the Tampa Bay area when they went. So they had more dishes they had tried there.

Love Thai Ruby as well.
If 'Asian' cuisine is your cup o' tea... Try VKI Japanese in LSL, and Bamboo Bistro near 441 in the Target Plaza Lady Lake.
All Three are winners - esp their lunches which are an excellent value.

I love their Tofu Surprise. I can't get past it to try something else.

Ate there once and food was very good. Spiced to our recommendation. Could have been a bigger portion but will go back again

That is because all the cooks are German.

Agree with 600th Photo Sq. Did not even recognize most the soups. American Thai...….???
Thanks for the recommendation of Bamboo Bistro. Have to give them a try.

Totally agree. Tried Thai Ruby three times when we first moved here which was four times too many. When we need our monthly Thai food fix we go to Ocala, Orlando, Tampa or while visiting our kids in the Melbourne area.

Not only good food, but it's usually pretty QUIET when we go there!

That was also a good feature.

We are lucky to have Thai Ruby in The Villages. Actually, I'm somewhat amazed it i's here and in such a prime location. Nice ambiance, an interesting menu, and good service has been it's mainstay. Like any Asian or Mexican restaurant here you have to request the fare to be "authentic" to get the spiciness that the plate deserves.

I am not really into spicy food but that is a good thing to know.

That's because the people here couldn't eat it. " oh it's too spicy" Hah

Even "authentic" isn't even close.

I agree. So many people can’t/won’t eat spicy and/or “hot” food. So wherever you go, there you are.
Thai Ruby will make it hotter (red pepper flakes) and they will serve, on request, a nice selection of VERY spicy hot condiments. This is nice, but the food still lacks the richness and depth of the real thing.
Not that the food isn’t good... it always is. The restaurant is clean and peaceful (for a change). My husband likes it very much.
