The last thing most of us think about when we plan a cruise is the list of elements that can go wrong before and during our vacation. We always take trip insurance......a required hip surgery prevented me from taking the cruise and we were thankful we had it....it's not cheap but at this age, anything can happen.

Trip insurance is a good idea these days, what with TSA delays, ships being unavailable due to being stuck in a storm the day before, planes being pulled out of service, airlines closing. I think our last cruise was something like $150 extra for trip insurance. Considering the trip itself was over $4000, I'd say it was a bargain.
