I tried checking the Archery range official website but can't find what I'm looking for.
Does the range allow people to use old fashioned traditional wood longbows and American flatbows? Or is only modern equipment allowed?

Did you try calling the Recreation Department?

Not yet, no. I used to shoot when I was a kid, in summer camp. I remember it being a really fun challenge. I was actually pretty good at it then (around 45 years ago). No idea if I can even still aim right anymore to make it worth investing in a bow, but this is "step one" in finding out!

There are instructional sessions each week at both ranges. Check the Rec News for schedules.

My husband belongs to the Archery Club. There are a number of traditional archers as well as bare bow recurve and Olympic recurve, not just compound. You will be welcomed!

Awesome, that was the information I was looking for, thank you so much! Step one - accomplished. A bunch more steps to go but the start is the most important part!
